DESCRIPTION :
The flow meterconsists of a hollow cylindrical piston (1) constrained to rotate in a rotary / oscillatory motion inside a cylindrical measuring chamber (2) divider by a barrier plate (3). The piston carries an encapsulated rare earth magnet (4) which actuates digital sensors (5) mounted outside the measuring chamber. The rear cover (6) acts as the liquid inlet and outlet manifold and the front cover (7) complete the meter construction. The digital sensor pulse transmitter can be interfaced with either local or remote indicating or control instruments.
SEQUENCE OF OPERATION

Liquid flows through inlet port 'I' into measuring chamber. Due to liquid pressure inner portion of rotary piston is filled and piston moves as hown.
The inner chamber (V1), of the rotary piston is partly over the outlet port 'O' The volume (V2) is now discharged through the outlet port during further movement of the rotary piston as shown

The inner chamber of the rotary piston (V1) is filled and closed. The liquid now flows in the exterior measuring chamber moving the piston in the same direction
The exterior measuring chamber space (V2) is filled and closed. The inner chamber (V1) of the rotary piston is now partly over the inlet port 'I' and starts filling moving the rotary piston to Pos 1. The outlet port is now
uncovered. (V1) + (V2) represent the cyclic volume of the meter.
